How much do online English lessons cost?
€35 per individual lesson, €24 per person in a pair. Every lesson is 55 minutes. You pay month by month, at the start of the month, with no packages. The first call is free.

What a month costs
The price is per lesson. You pay for the calendar month, with the lessons of your weekly rhythm in it: most months have four lessons for each weekly slot, some have five. Examples for a month with four lessons per weekly slot:
Individual lessons
- 1 lesson a week: 4 × €35 = €140 a month
- 2 lessons a week: 8 × €35 = €280 a month
Paired lessons
- 1 lesson a week: 4 × €24 = €96 a month per person (€192 for the pair)
- 2 lessons a week: 8 × €24 = €192 a month per person (€384 for the pair)
A month with five Tuesdays has five Tuesday lessons: 5 × €35 with one individual lesson a week, or 5 × €24 per person in a pair. These are examples, not packages.
What's included in the price
The price per lesson covers the whole structure, not only the 55 minutes with your tutor:
- Your tutor: the same Cambridge CELTA-qualified tutor from our small team, at the same time, every week.
- MyMEI: the history and materials of every lesson, homework, reminders, lesson credits, progress by skill, and lesson management from the app.
- Tests: a progress test every 2 months, plus continuous assessment with MEI's own adaptive test.
- A supervisor: someone who checks your plan, your tests and your tutor's work.
Each part is explained in how our online lessons work. Before any of this, the first call with Marcus is free: 15 to 20 minutes, with no commitment.
Month by month, no packages
You don't buy a pack of lessons. You pay month by month for the lessons in that month, with no long contract.
We're strict on one thing: the weekly rhythm. Your lesson, or lessons, stay at the same time every week. On the commitment, you're free: you decide month by month whether to continue. To stop, one line by email within 3 days of the end of the month is enough.
Why no packages? A pack of ten lessons is easy to buy and easy to leave half used. A fixed time every week is what keeps you going.
Payment, cancellations and changes
- Payment: the calendar month, in advance, at the start of the month, with a regular invoice.
- Starting mid-month: you pay only for the lessons left in that month.
- Cancelling a lesson: at least 24 hours before, from the MyMEI app. You can reschedule it on any other day or at any other time within 45 days.
- Stopping: one line by email within 3 days of the end of the month.
- Changing your weekly time: possible. We advise against doing it often, for example every month to follow shift work, because a new slot may not be free.
Prices for companies
For teams, we work with groups of 3 to 8 colleagues, with a quote for each group. The main paths are Presentations & Public Speaking, Negotiations, Business-oriented English, General English, and custom paths built for your team.
For one or two people from the same company, we use individual lessons and paired lessons, at the prices above. Companies receive a regular company invoice and always pay in advance: monthly, quarterly or for the whole course, as agreed. More on English courses for companies.

Questions about prices
Why do paired lessons cost less per person?
Two people share the same lesson, so each pays €24 instead of €35. Together, the pair pays 2 × €24 per lesson. The format doesn't change: same tutor, same slot, or slots, every week.
Are there packages?
No. You pay per lesson, month by month. The price per lesson is the same with one lesson a week or more.
Is there a contract?
No long contract: you continue month by month. To stop, send one line by email within 3 days of the end of the month.
How do I pay?
You pay for the calendar month in advance, at the start of the month, and receive a regular invoice. If you start mid-month, you pay only for the lessons left.
What about months with five lessons?
You pay for the lessons your weekly rhythm has in that calendar month. A month with five Tuesdays has five Tuesday lessons: 5 × €35 with one individual lesson a week.
Is the first call free?
Yes. The first call with Marcus is free: 15 to 20 minutes, by video, with no commitment.
How much does a company group cost?
It depends on the group and the path, so we send a quote for each group of 3 to 8 people, after a free call.
